commonplaces is an ongoing project joining cloth and mapping. Cloth easily reflects all manner of common histories and intimate associations that may be sequestered in a fold, a seam or traced over an existing pattern, forming maps of place and identity. Short-term networks of people, conversations and political action have frequently been conceptual subjects resulting in linear interaction and entanglement.
