enclosures 12 , paint, tape, thread, stickers on kozo paper , 19.5 x 26.5 inches My works on paper involve placing hundreds of labels, dots, stickers and tape on the surface of translucent paper. The adhesive materials are painted over and mostly removed leaving outlines that trigger intuitive associations. Shapes are connected with stitched lines of thread, tape and additions of paint resulting in a circuit of small interlocking relationships.  Slowly fabricated, meticulous with intimate detail, they echo the resonance of “place” and our desire to locate, map, imagine...build. Each suggests a blueprint of ideas for subsequent installations, informing a larger, more experimental and interactive approach to place-making.
